Ian Aipperspach serves as the Associate Director of Music Ministries at First Christian Church in Lubbock, TX. He is an experienced church musician having served churches in the states of Arkansas, North Dakota, and Texas on a consistent basis since the age of 16. An accomplished organist and pianist, Ian has concertized in the United States, Northern Ireland (United Kingdom), and Australia. His education includes: A.A. in Music Education-Instrumental (Piano) & History from Del Mar College, Corpus Christi, TX; B.S. in Music Ministries and a B.A. in Music (Organ) from John Brown University, Siloam Springs, AR; and the M.M. in Conducting and Organ Performance from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth Texas. Presently, Mr. Aipperspach is a candidate for the Ph.D. in Fine Arts in Music with an emphasis in Choral Conducting at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Ian enjoys traveling and baseball (he’s been to 12 different major league ballparks so far). His most recent international travels took him to Prague and the Czech Republic where he studied international arts policy. Additionally, Ian serves as an adjunct instructor of Music Appreciation at the Plainview extension campus of South Plains College. He is married to Candice, also an avid traveler, who is pursuing her Ph.D. in Fine Arts in Music with an emphasis in Musicology at Texas Tech University. She serves as the Jesus Jammers Children’s Choir Director at First Christian, the Artistic Administrator for Lubbock Moonlight Musicals, and an adjunct instructor of Music Appreciation at the Reece Center extension campus of South Plains College. |
