Good Friday 24-hour Prayer Vigil

alpaca1 A vital part of our Holy Week observance is the Good Friday 24-hour Prayer Vigil. This will be held from noon on Friday, April 18th to noon Saturday, April 19th in the Chapel. We need to be in "continuous prayer", therefore, we ask you to sign the sheets that will be passed through the congregation during both services on April 6th. The Prayer Vigil sign-up board will also be in the Great Hall beginning Sunday, March 30th. Prayer request cards will also be available in the Great Hall, and will be placed in the worship bulletins on Sunday, April 13th. There are several ways to submit your prayer concerns. You can drop them in the little white church (in the Great Hall), in the offering plate, or in the church office at your convenience. Please park in the west parking lot, and enter the building by using the west door nearest the Chapel. There will be a security guard on duty and an Elder will greet you when you enter the church. Your Prayer Vigil experience will include guidelines for prayer, the opportunity to take communion and the opportunity to pray for the many requests listed on the prayer cards.

    • As members of the Christian Church, We confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and proclaim Him Lord and Savior of the world.
    • In Christ's name and by His grace we accept our mission of witness and service to all people.
    • We rejoice in God, maker of heaven and earth, and in the covenant of love which binds us to God and one another.
    • Through baptism into Christ we enter into newness of life and are made one with the whole people of God.
    • In the communion of the Holy Spirit we are joined together in discipleship and in obedience to Christ.
    • At the table of the Lord we celebrate with thanksgiving the saving acts and presence of Christ.
    • Within the universal church we receive the gift of ministry and the light of scripture.
    • In the bonds of Christian faith we yield ourselves to God that we may serve the One whose kingdom has no end.
    • Blessing, glory and honor be to God forever, Amen.
